Dr. Collier Strenkert grew up all over the country, in Texas, Georgia, Florida, Utah, and Washington State, but considers South Florida “home.” Interested in a career with animals, Dr. Strenkert studied at Nova Southeastern University, pursuing a research career in marine biology. During this time, he began shadowing at a local companion animal clinic, shifted to a dual major in biology, and never looked back. Dr. Strenkert went on to attend veterinary school at Washington State University (Go Cougs!) and graduated in 2020.
After a few years practicing small animal medicine in West Texas, Dr. Strenkert and his wife, Lauren, relocated to Naples to be closer to family and establish some professional roots. Having established and maintained contact with Dr. Lehman during and after veterinary school, he was excited to reconnect and sign on as an associate veterinarian at North Naples. Dr. Strenkert is particularly interested in dental work, pain management, and client education. He is very excited to bring his unique perspective to the team at North Naples and help our local furry family members.
In his free time, Dr. Strenkert enjoys fishing, swimming, weightlifting, traveling, pickleball, and going to the movies. In addition, he enjoys spending time with his wife, their Australian Shepherd “Lyra,” and long-haired mustachioed cat, “Meowi.” The Drs. Strenkert welcomed their first child in April of 2024 and are excited about all the new challenges and joys the future will bring!
